The Summer School Arts Project 2003 is being attended by 64 pupils who have been specially chosen by their schools. They have been identified as having a talent for the Performing Arts, which includes Drama, Music, Dance and ICT.
This year's summer school is co-ordinated by Martin Heartfield supported by a specialist team of tutors.
The theme this year is based on Hero's and Heroine's. They could be your
favourite actor, actress or even your parents. The children have been
encouraged to let their imaginations develop and their ideas have
formed the focus for the performance.
The school is in its third year and will end with four performances to the public.
The school is a brilliant opportunity for the children to develop new skills
and gives them the experience of creating a piece of musical theatre.
